Has anyone adopted a standing order to structure Daubert motion practice under amended Rule 702? I’m revising mine this fall and considering 15-page briefs and a requirement for pinpoint citations to the expert record; our median civil docket sees 3–5 such motions per term. Examples or FJC materials that have worked in practice would be helpful, particularly language that preserves discretion while signaling the governing standard.
One tweak that’s cut noise for me: I require a one-page “reliability statement” with pinpoint cites mapping each challenged opinion to the data and method and identifying the exact Rule 702 prong; if a point isn’t tied to a prong, I don’t reach it.
